Logitech G29 Clutch stuck at 50% when unpressed

I encountered a problem this past week where the clutch pedal on my Logitech G29 wheel was stuck at 50% even when I wasn’t pushing the pedal down. I also noticed that if I touched the pedal even a tiny amount, then it would go straight to 100%, almost like it was behaving as a digital button rather than a progressive lever that applies the amount that it’s pushed.

This was affecting all games across Assetto Corsa Competizione, Forza Horizon 4, rFactor 2 and Euro Truck Simulator 2, so it felt like it was a hardware issue. However, in the Logitech G-Hub software, I could see the progressive bar being filled as I pushed the pedal, in-line with the amount that I was pushing it, so it clearly wasn’t hardware and must be software.
