Logitech G29 Clutch stuck at 50% when unpressed
· Reading time: ~2 minute(s) (234 words) posts sim-racingI encountered a problem this past week where the clutch pedal on my Logitech G29 wheel was stuck at 50% even when I wasn’t pushing the pedal down. I also noticed that if I touched the pedal even a tiny amount, then it would go straight to 100%, almost like it was behaving as a digital button rather than a progressive lever that applies the amount that it’s pushed.
This was affecting all games across Assetto Corsa Competizione, Forza Horizon 4, rFactor 2 and Euro Truck Simulator 2, so it felt like it was a hardware issue. However, in the Logitech G-Hub software, I could see the progressive bar being filled as I pushed the pedal, in-line with the amount that I was pushing it, so it clearly wasn’t hardware and must be software.
After a ton of searching online, and finding nothing of relevance, I went back through the things that I had done recently. I realised that I had performed a calibration through the Windows game controller settings just the day before, so I went into joy.cpl and located the Logitech G29 controller, went to the advanced options and selected “Reset to defaults”, before reloading ACC and retrying. Sure enough, that sorted the problem.
Hopefully this will be picked up by Google, so if you have the same problem and struggling to find a solution, hopefully this fixes it for you too.
